My heart too goes out to all those affected by these tragic and terrible events. I pray for many miracles - as many survivors as possible. I pray for those who have gone, and for those who have lost them. And I pray that the world might finally unite against evil, so their loss is not in vain. With hugs and tears for all, Kermi

By now you all have had a glimpse into the horror of war. The tragedy, the futility, the sense of anger, frustration, fear, and sorrow that accompanies and follows such a tragic event that we the world witnessed Tuesday, September 11, 2001.

Some of you are located in the immediate or nearby areas that have been affected by this disaster. I myself watched in helplessness as my partner waited for news from family who live and work in New York. To those of you who haven't heard from friends or family, I offer you my simple prayers for their safety. For those of you who already know the unspeakable - I pray for your healing.

One of the first things that a soldier learns is that FEAR IS NOT AN OPTION. You may and are allowed to be afraid - BUT you MUST CARRY ON and perform your duties.

Here in Canada many of us are going to the Canadian Red Cross Blood Banks, in anticipation of a blood shortage in America. I do not know if the blood will be needed, however we are ready to assist. And our Prime Minister Jean Chretien has pledged that our country is ready to assist in emergency services; and pledged support Wednesday for an international campaign against terrorism.

I was visiting Amazon.com today and noticed that they are soliciting donations for the American Red Cross. Donations of $1 - $100 can be made through their donation program and Amazon's usual percentage for processing such transactions are being waived.

Here is how we the "ordinary" citizens of the world can help out in this tragedy.

- If you are able to provide some small financial contribution to the American Red Cross to help them out in their efforts during this emergency, then please go to this page: http://www.amazon.com/paypage/PKAXFNQH7EKCX

(By the way, no this is not my amazon affiliate URL.)

- If you are not able to provide financial assistance then please consider donating blood to your local Red Cross Blood Clinic.

No words can express the grief so many of us are feeling right now for the victims of this horrific tragedy. The loved ones that are lost! The heros that gave up their lives for others. My heart and prayers go out to all of the ones that lost someone they love by this tragedy. But America will survive! God bless the USA.

Living in Canada we have always felt such intense closeness with our wonderful neighbours below. Our borders are always open, we pass them without passports, we are North America. We unite in the horror and sorrow of this tragedy. We stand beside you in the days ahead, we pray for victims and their family and friends. We will stand beside you in the days to come when those that allowed this horrific act are called upon to answer to the world.

Our family would like to take a moment to send our prayers out to all the families of those who have passed due to this horrific tragedy. We are still stunned that such an evil act could be done so close to home. We would also like to ask everyone to pray for the US military who is just beginning their missions, because even though they have been put on notice, their journey in this all is just beginning. Especially for those in Saudi Arabia who are so close to the evil. Please pray for those men and women that they return to their families safely and that God will watch over them during this horrible time.
