My prayers and thoughts are with those who lost loved ones in attacks on September 11,2001, and with our President and leaders as they investigate and make plans for action, and for all the citizens of America. This weeks happenings raised so many feelings in me, I felt sadness, confusion, anger and disparity as I am sure most Americans have. These evil attacks will only make America stronger. The sleeping giant has been awaken and I pray justice will be done. It has been so wonderful though to see other countries joining with us and feeling our sorrow and offering help. It will take a long time to recover from this tragidy but we all need to pull together and work together because together we can accomplish great things. God bless America and all of her citizens. Coming from somewhere that has suffered so much, I can understand some of the pain of the American people. The one thing everyone needs in their darkest hour is hope and I pray with all my heart the Our Blessed Lord will strengthen all the American people with His gift of hope. First of all my heart goes out to all the innocent people who lost their precious lives. To all the injured I hope that you have a speedy recovery. For the people that lost mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters and other loved ones, the whole civilized world is praying for your loss. To all the emergency workers, fire fighters, police officers, medical personel and civilian workers who are doing a terrific job in spite of the horrendous task in front of you ... God bless you all. The United States has the most resiliant people on earth. They will get over this and the American flag will fly high on the buildings that will take the place of the world trade center. The innocent will never be forgotten. To the terrorists ... you made a very big mistake. Your cowardly acts have done the exact opposite of what you planned. Instead of the entire civilized world fighting amongst themselves they have all come together for the first time to oppose your sick ideology. They have promised to hunt you down and make you pay for your barbaric acts. You will pay dearly for these terrible atrocities on mankind. I for one hope that they carry through on their plans. For people that continously cry for freedom you used that very freedom to kill many thousands of innocent people. Your cowardly acts are the work of savages, not humans that should have freedom of any kind. The freedom you spilt blood on was won by the lives of many people in many wars. Unlike you the fought with honor ... something that you will never have or could ever dream of having. May Allah, Yahwee, Buddha or Jesus Christ do what is right and severe your cancerous minds from this planet once and for all. GOD bless America and the rest of the civilized world. I feel really sad. I feel sadder than I can ever remember feeling before. What happened in the US on Tuesday was completely beyond comprehension. I pray for all those who have been bereaved: those who do not yet know if they have lost their loved ones; the rescue workers trying to reunite people with their loved ones. I pray that when the searching is over, the rescue workers will be able to return to some form of normality, after seeing such harrowing sights. I pray that world leaders will take time and look to each other for guidance in deciding what should be done next. Finally I pray for people all over the world, who are sad, because of what has happened. God Bless you all and keep you safe. Claire Ashford, Kent, UK - Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 14:13:56 (EDT)
To all those people who have lost loved ones in this unbelievable tragedy I wish to express my deepest sympathy at this sad time . I also hope and pray that your great nation will be guided by God in dealing with this situation . To Mr. Bush , please be guided by God and temper your justice with mercy as I believe you and your country usually do . and to all Americans know that Jesus loves you and knows your pain and sadness . My prayers go out to all the families that have lost loved ones in this terrible tragedy. I am also praying for all of the people searching the ruins for survivors and victims to help put to rest the families who have not heard from loved ones. I also pray for all of our leaders that they will seek guidance from God on how to proceed from here. I also pray that this might be a wakeup call for our country that we all put God back into our schools and our government. We have allowed those who do not beleive in God to put down what our great country was founded on. We need God back in our lives, government and schools. As our President stated our Nation's foundation will not be shaken by acts of terrorism. During this unspeakable tragedy we have witnessed our country demonstrate what has made our foundation impregnable. It is the ability to have differences but, still maintain solidarity. Aggressors look at our disagreements (whether they are political, financial, racial or religious) and perceive this as an indication that we are a fragmented society producing "cracks" in that foundation. The saying comes to mind, "I may not agree with you but I'll die defending your right to disagree." We are a "Gentle Giant" which doesn't seek confrontations but, we will stand our ground in defense of our family, The United States of America and bring down the aggressor. We have extended our hand in friendship and our arms in comfort, support and protection to the world. We will continue to do this for we are at heart a generous nation with a love of peace. The greatest example of this can be seen in our livingrooms on our televisions, people in their last moments calling loved ones expressing their love, strangers helping strangers and people willingly sacrificing their lives while trying to save lives. This is our strenght... May we always remember the unity and love we are a feeling and incorporate it into our lives. And may God give us the wisdom and power to do what is necessary to stop man's inhumanity to man. Our prayers and thoughts go to the victims and their loved ones... A Friend USA - Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 11:37:28 (EDT)
While so many are sending their prayers for Americans lost and hurt in this horrible attack, I want to remind everyone that thousands of the victims are from other countries. I have heard that between 500 - 1000 UK residents are unaccounted for, 500 Canadians, hundreds of Japanese, Germans, Chinese, Swiss, Asians, Middle Easterners and Europeans. Our heartfelt prayers and best wishes for the families affected, worldwide, is extended. WiredPatrol is preparing abanner ad camapgin to allow sites to link to our emergency pages and to have the latest information about emergency rescue efforts, and resources and information about the victims and what you can do to help. If you want a copy of the banner to post at your site, please e-mail our webteam@wiredsafety.org. Keep yourselves and your family and loved ones safe. with love, Parry Aftab, Executive Director WiredPatrol Parry USA - Thursday, September 13, 2001 at 11:33:02 (EDT)
My deepest sympathy to the families of the NY and Washington/PA victims... at 10pm tonight, those of us who will respond to the call sent to our cellphones via SMS text messages passed on from cellphone to cellphone, will be lighting a candle and praying the rosary for the souls of the innocent victims and for the recovery of America... but most importantly, that candle is like a small voice, praying for world peace. May this candle also be a guiding light in the hearts and mind of the world leaders as they plan for the course of action to take. GOD BLESS the selfless and tireless volunteer workers!!!
